The Role
We are looking for a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in our location, Mahe, Office.
Overview:
 

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage our Microsoft Infrastructure components, including Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and Entra ID. You will collaborate with globally dispersed IT teams responsible for network infrastructure, IT security, hardware, and software components.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in configuring, deploying, and supporting our M365 and Entra ID environments, ensuring their efficient operation and continuous improvement to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • This role demands a customer-focused and service-oriented individual who delivers the highest quality of service, ensuring the stability, security, and optimization of our M365 and Azure Cloud services.

What we are looking for
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and administering M365 and Entra ID environments.
  • Certifications:
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of:
  • M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
  • Entra ID, including RBAC, conditional access, and hybrid identity management.
  • M365 and Azure AD security features and compliance requirements.
  • PowerShell scripting for task automation.
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions within the M365 and Entra ID ecosystems.
  • Experience with:
  • Managing hybrid environments involving on-premises AD and Entra ID.
  • Integrating Entra ID with third-party applications and services.
  • Monitoring and analytics tools like Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience
 

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or structured change management processes.
  • Experience in managing IT environments for organizations with over 500 users.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware/software components.
  • Leadership skills for mentoring junior staff or managing small teams.

Key Performance Metrics

  • Maintain M365 and Entra ID uptime and availability according to SLAs.
  • Timely resolution of support tickets.
  • Adoption rates of new M365 and Entra ID features and tools.
  • Compliance with security audits and governance policies.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Administration and Management
    • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other M365 applications.
    • Administer and manage the Entra ID environment, including user and group management, role-based access control (RBAC), and application integrations.
    • Manage user lifecycle processes and optimize license utilization.
    • Configure and enforce governance policies for M365 and Entra ID environments.
  • Security and Compliance
    • Configure and maintain Entra ID security features, including conditional access, identity protection, privileged identity management (PIM), and MFA.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents using tools like Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Identity.
  • Automation and Optimization
    • Develop PowerShell or Python scripts for automating tasks in both M365 and Entra ID environments.
    • Analyze system performance and usage data to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support and Collaboration
    • Provide tier-2/3 support for Microsoft Infrastructure related tickets and escalate complex issues to Microsoft or third-party partners when necessary.
    • Collaborate with IT teams managing network infrastructure and hardware/software components.
    • Train end users and promote the adoption of M365 and Entra ID features.
  • Integration and Identity Management
    • Integrate Entra ID with third-party applications and services for Single Sign-On (SSO) and secure access.
    • Manage and maintain hybrid identity environments, including directory synchronization and password management solutions.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery
    • Manage and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery plans for both M365 and Entra ID.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Create and maintain documentation, including policies, procedures, and system configurations for M365 and Entra ID.
    • Provide regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance metrics.
  • Project Participation
    • Lead or participate in IT projects related to Microsoft Infrastructure services, such as migrations, feature rollouts, and identity management initiatives.
  • Stay Updated
    • Continuously evaluate and implement new features and capabilities in M365 and Entra ID to enhance organizational productivity.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
