Morgan McKinley was officially recognised as a Great Place to Work at the annual Great Places to Work awards ceremony last night in Dublin.
There were over 600 people present, including Taoiseach Enda Kenny, representing best workplaces across the country. We were delighted with our placing this year of No. 5 – a significant improvement on our placing of No. 11 last year. This is our 9th year participating in the Great Workplaces initiative and reflects our ongoing commitment to measuring and understanding levels of trust and engagement within our Organisation.
Our ranking in the survey is based on three elements, a confidential survey issued to all employees by the Great Places to Work team, a Culture audit prepared by a ‘GPTW Task Team’ internally and the qualitative analysis of the additional comments section of the survey – which provides employees the opportunity to give more detailed feedback on what makes the organisation a Great workplace and their suggestions on what would improve the organisation further in this regard.
Our success in this initiative is down to our employees - it is their ongoing commitment in working together to continuously develop and improve our Great Workplace that has led to this level of recognition.
Knowing that you work in a Great Workplace instils a real sense of pride and a sense of belonging. Morgan McKinley is a company that enjoys a celebration – last year we celebrated 25 years in business with several great events including a family day to see Santa at Mount Juliet and a 5 star Christmas party in the superb Castlemartyr resort. Today was no different and we toasted our success over a morning coffee and a celebratory cupcake… and maybe something stronger later!
