Thank you for attending our Trivia Quiz Night Benefiting O.G.A. for Aid

Here at Morgan McKinley, we pride ourselves not only on our high-quality recruitment services, but also our sense of responsibility to help those in need.

This quarter, our event allowed our guests to not only have fun networking, but do so in the spirit of charity.

On Thursday, June 4th, 60 IT professionals gathered for a night of networking, trivia, and charity. Hosted at Finn McCool’s in Akasaka, Morgan McKinley’s IT team organized a light-hearted pub quiz benefiting O.G.A. for Aid.

O.G.A. for Aid is a Japanese NPO that raises money to help fund projects for disaster survivors, and implement a variety of initiatives to rebuild communities up in the Tohoku region. O.G.A. representative Angela Ortiz spoke at our event, emphasizing the continuous need for support of the remaining 250,000 Fukushima families who still live in temporary homes.

The night kicked off as we separated a full house of IT professionals into teams as they sampled a free international brew in anticipation of the quiz.

Led by our IT Manager, Nick Rees, each team was buzzing in preparation for the questions to come. There was only slight heckling at the Pub Quiz Master as he delivered questions covering global pop culture, history, and a full round about Japan.

Guests were able to enjoy a buffet of assorted finger food and drinks, as well as mingle during the quiz. The atmosphere remained upbeat and interactive in this cozy venue. The winning teams enjoyed a variety of prizes, such as Adidas vouchers, and high-quality beverages - which were notably enjoyed on the spot! Even when the quiz was over, many participants stayed on to enjoy further drinks and mingle with the IT community.

We would like to thank all of our guests for their generous donations and enthusiasm at our event. In total, we were able to make a notable contribution to the cause.
