In case you missed it, due to continued growth in our mainland China business, we have recently relocated from our offices in Pudong, Lujiazui area to a fantastic new location in the Puxi CBD area in Plaza 66, Tower 1 on West Nanjing Road

This new office is twice the size of our previous office, and means we now have the need to hire experienced recruitment consultants in to join our team.

Since opening the office in Shanghai in March 2011, the office has grown from strength to strength. We won the Best Headhunting Award in China at the HRM China HR Pioneer Awards in 2012 and the Best In-house Training at the Global Recruiter Awards in Singapore in 2014, and were Highly Commended for Best In-house Training in 2015.

Morgan McKinley prides itself on service delivery, adding value and providing expert advice to both clients and candidates. Despite being a global firm, there is a boutique feel. The Shanghai team are a great mix of experienced and up and coming recruitment consultants. Our own Managing Director, Rio Goh, was named one of the “100 Innovations Leaders” of the HR industry in China in April 2015. 

The Shanghai office culture is about working in a team as well as valuing the individual. Consultants are seen as entrepreneurs and are encouraged to build their own portfolios of clients and candidates within their chosen market sector; you get the chance to build your own business under the Morgan McKinley brand. There are times where everyone is professional, focussed and on task, but we also value the time where the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Recent events for our employees have included organizing themed business development days such as “An Amazing Race” as well as networking events such as wine tastings, and fitness boot camps to connect with our candidates and clients. 

 

So what skills do I need to have to work at Morgan McKinley China?

It is essential that you are a Native level Mandarin Chinese speaker with fluency in English. We are looking for experienced agency recruiters who love to do business development of new clients as well as sourcing the best talent for our clients. They are also fantastic networkers who really take the time to listen to what a candidate wants in their next career move.
