To celebrate the Olympic Games of Rio 2016, Morgan McKinley had it's very own Olympic Torch which made it's way across our global offices.

Whichever office the torch visited, fundraising and team games followed! Here's an account of our global 'pass the torch' challenge.

Kicking off in London, the Morgan McKinley olympic torch was spotted with a London taxi, a tour bus, in front of Mamma Mia the musical and even on Waterloo Bridge with the London Eye and Big Ben in the background!

To celebrate the olympics this was closely followed competitions, games, cakes and cocktails across our UK offices - all fundraising for Bliss Charity.

The torch then looped back to Dublin and across Ireland where many table tennis competitions were taking place!

Travelling across the globe to Hong Kong, the torch encouraged 2 olympic themed activities. The first was a bake sale! A variety of cakes were available in the pantry after lunch, baked by the top bakers from the Financial Services teams, and each slice was sold to raise money for charity. The second activity took place on Friday 26th, where a group of 10 volunteers took part in a team blood donation.

Then over to Shanghai for a full range of sports and games, including darts, bowling, arm wrestling and basketball. The day was rounded off by Shanghai's very own closing ceremony!

And finally over to Tokyo, where the torch made an official appearance outside Tokyo Tower! You may or may not have seen Rio Games closing ceremony, but an amazing teaser of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics featuring Super Mario was played and the olympic torch was officially passed to Tokyo. Needless to say this gave our Tokyo team a lot of energy, power and imagination of whats to come!
