Following the success of "What is Cloud Computing?" event, held at the luxurious Tokyo American Club in September, our Tokyo office held another event for professionals to share ideas and network.

On Thursday 24th Oct Morgan McKinley Japan hosted our first “Transaction Banking Night”, a networking session dedicated to senior corporate bankers and transaction banking professionals in Tokyo.

Professionals from major global banks and Japanese megabanks attended the event, which was held at the newly renovated Palace Hotel Tokyo’s chic lounge bar set the scene for a night of networking, discussions and debates.

In the extremely relaxed and informal atmosphere, all the attendants freely exchanged their views on business trends within the transaction banking sphere, and learned about recruitment business scenarios in the banking industry. Their earnest discussions at the event, which started 7 p.m., lasted until 11 p.m. 

The “Transaction Banking Night” was extremely well received by the attendants, some of whom even said that it was the first time for a recruitment agency in Japan to arrange this kind of event for the corporate banking community. Here are some random excerpts from the comments we have received:
