These past two months interning at Morgan McKinley was a lifetime work experience I will value for forever.
The initial expectations any junior individual would have about any recruitment internship was completely fulfilled beyond expectations.
Day 1 of intern life was mixed feelings of anxiousness and excitement. The corporate culture introduced to me was more than just welcoming; they treated me as one individual, employee and family to the company. The laughs at the desk balanced with the focused job environment motivated me to work. There was never a boring moment in the office. My tasks included attending internal and external meetings, updating the internal database, making presentations and spreadsheets, being a part of new projects and sending emails, all of which were new and valuable work experiences.
I’ve learned and improved in terms of being proactive, responsible, communicative and positive, to follow through the tasks at hand, and always be successful. Recruitment is a people-orientated business, constantly interacting and communicating, and being efficient is a vital concept that I feel I’ve achieved. I was able to absorb a vast amount of corporate knowledge and business conversation in a hands-on way.
For the past two months I have been working with 6 different teams across different fields, but I found that I personally fit and was more interested in the HR field. The ongoing human interaction and relationships built, alongside the detailed and constant development present was the most interesting for me.
I sincerely thank all the employees at Morgan McKinley, Tokyo for the valuable experience during my 2 months and a special thanks to Anouska Serich and Lionel Kaidatzis for your tremendous support. I have definitely have gone ‘Beyond'!
