From Group Inductions To Team Lunches

As the end of my first month at Morgan McKinley fast approaches, I’ve begun to reflect on my experiences and how I am adapting working for a global recruitment company.

Even though there are over 700 employees within the business globally, Morgan McKinley still have time for new starters like me; from group inductions to training sessions and team lunches. These past few weeks have already been an amazing experience where I have learnt so much and met many new faces. From COOs down to Associate Consultant’s, I have been welcomed by each and everyone of the team. If I’m honest, I thought that joining a global company would be a daunting experience, but the support shown here encourages each individual to go above and beyond in your personal development and progression within the company. I’m not surprised that Morgan McKinley is successful; the foundation of the business is built on core values, and even from my short time spent here already, it’s easy to see that people live and breathe them. From my personal experience, some companies promise their employees the world but never seem to take time out to sit down with them and explain how it can be done. Morgan McKinley have certainly restored my faith - my manager takes time out weekly to sit down with me and give feedback on how I’m progressing and expectations going forward. They take feedback from me and are happy to provide guidance and training wherever necessary, making me feel valued and inspired. I have seen how the interaction between Consultant and their Clients and Candidates. They deal with the individual and tailor to everyone’s needs, matching companies with brilliant candidates, and matching candidates with their dream jobs. Talking about dream jobs, Morgan McKinley offered me the chance to kick start my Marketing career by offering me a role that was a balance of my current skill set and my long-term goals. I have only been here a month and they are already talking about personal development plans, and how they can help me get to where I want to be. Morgan McKinley plan regular outings for their teams and offer you the chance to get to know everyone on a personal level. Not only do they do this for their own colleagues, but they also do this for candidates or contacts - always going the above and beyond expectations.
