2016 was another great year for the Morgan McKinley offices in Asia Pacific and I wanted to take the opportunity to give you an overview of what we have achieved!.

Singapore

Our Singapore office was the first to report an expansion and we moved into new offices in January 2016. It was a much needed upgrade from our old offices and allowed our Singapore office to be much more effective in our Career Ally offering, but also gave our Consultants more room too! 

China

The first award for the year went to our China office. The HRoot Annual Human Resources Awards took place in April 2016, and our team won the award for "The Best International Talent Search Service Provider in Greater China."

Our Shanghai office then followed this up with another award win in May 2016 at the Recruitment International (RI) Awards in Shanghai for “Best International Recruitment Service Provider of the Year."

We also launched the Senior Consultant Learning and Development programme in Shanghai in December 2016, helping our Senior Consultant's develop into future leaders in the business.

Sydney

Our Sydney office opened two new divisions in 2016 – Analytics and Innovation.  Analytics opened in April 2016 and has been growing from strength to strength and Innovation opened in June 2016 based on the success and strength of our Strategy team.

Tokyo

Next in line was Tokyo in September 2016, winning “Best Banking Recruitment Company of the Year” at the Recruitment International (RI) Awards. This was an award that we also won in 2014 and we were very proud to have won it back!  

Hong Kong

The Hong Kong office followed up our winning streak at the Recruitment International (RI) Awards in November 2016. We retained our title as being the “Best Banking Recruitment Company of the Year” for the third straight year! 

The Hong Kong office then followed this up, one week later, with multiple wins at the HR Vendors of the Year awards, bringing home 4 trophies:

1. Best Permanent Roles Recruitment Agency - Gold
2. Best Contingent-Workforce Recruitment Firm - Silver
3. Best Recruitment Firm - Human Resources - Bronze
4. Best Recruitment Firm - Candidate Relationship & Marketing – Bronze

Worth a mention

In February, we achieved 50,000 followers on LinkedIn and are on track to hit 100,000 followers by mid 2017. Thanks again to all who liked, shared and commented on our content. We wouldn’t have achieved our milestone in October without you!
Also in October, we were given the prestigious honour of being ranked by LinkedIn as one of the most socially engaged staffing agencies. We came sixth in the top ten, out of a total 60,000 large global recruitment firms.
