The month of December, ‘tis the best month of the year!

People are feeling jolly, well wishes are flying around, everyone is looking forward to Santa coming and having some well-deserved time off. This December will be my sixth Christmas in Morgan McKinley and I have to say, we celebrate Christmas well! There are lots of events happening from charity drives, swanky 5 star nights out and a very special visitor coming all the way from the North Pole!

Tonight our whole Irish business will be making their way to a 5 star hotel in Cork for our annual black tie Christmas party. This is an overnight event and is the highlight of the Morgan McKinley social calendar. Food and wine will be flowing and our now legendary X Factor will take place too - the acts have been practising for weeks and the competition is fierce!

To finish off the year, every office will attend a local Christmas party, including a delicious Christmas dinner followed by dancing till the wee hours! It is sure to be great night of festive celebrations.

Not forgetting the little ones; Santa has already visited the Morgan McKinley office. We hosted a great family Christmas party in each of our offices with presents and Christmas fare for all. The event was enjoyed by both kids and adults alike. 

The month of December is a month for celebrations but it is also an excellent month for charity work and donations. In Morgan McKinley we are having our annual Saint Vincent dePaul giving tree campaign. We will be collecting presents for adults and children and running a food drive, everything donated goes to SVP. We will also be hosting our annual charity Christmas jumper day. The money from this day will be going to a specific children’s charity close to the heart of to one of our colleagues. 

December is a month for celebrating and giving, but it is also a good time for reflection on your career and current role. Many people would be very open to the prospect of having a new role in January – new year, new job!
